The Plant Iboga

An ancient ally for modern times, Iboga helps you listen within, break cycles, and step forward with clarity, courage, and presence.

Ancient Roots

Learning the Wisdom of Iboga

Grounded in the Bwiti tradition of Central-West Africa, the Iboga plant is one of the world’s oldest visionary medicines.
For generations, it has been used in healing and initiation ceremonies to reconnect people with truth, clarity, and a deeper sense of self.
Today, many are turning to Iboga as a supportive ally for personal transformation in a world marked by stress, anxiety, and disconnection.

Meeting the Root, Not the Symptom

While experiences vary, participants commonly describe an inward journey, one that brings honest insight, helps release limiting patterns, and restores a renewed appreciation for life.

Iboga is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care, and outcomes can’t be guaranteed, but for many it serves as a profound teacher on the path of healing and self-discovery.
The Grandfather Medicine

Tabernanthe iboga

Iboga comes from the shrub Tabernanthe iboga. In traditional settings, the inner root bark is carefully prepared and offered ceremonially. In our retreats, experienced providers guide a structured process that includes thorough screening, preparation, and integration, so each guest can meet the medicine with clarity and support.

Ceremonies typically involve consuming finely ground root bark or a purified extract, followed by a quiet, introspective night.

The experience often includes visions or vivid memories that illuminate root causes, why we do what we do, and invite practical change.

Many report shifts around compulsive behaviors and a softened relationship to withdrawal or cravings, alongside insights that translate into grounded action in daily life.
Our role is to hold an attentive, respectful container aligned with Bwiti-informed principles: gratitude for life, respect for the natural world, and a return to what is authentically true.
Iboga is a powerful plant medicine that can interact with certain health conditions and medications. Medical screening, contraindication review, and professional supervision are essential. Iboga is not FDA-approved and should only be undertaken in appropriate settings with qualified guidance.
Know the Difference

Iboga vs. Ibogaine

“Iboga” refers to the whole plant (especially the root bark), which contains a family of naturally occurring alkaloids—ibogaine being the most studied among them, alongside compounds such as ibogamine and tabernanthine.
Traditional ceremonies use the whole root bark, making precise standardization of dose more complex and sometimes physically demanding.

“Ibogaine” is a single isolated alkaloid first identified over a century ago and later explored in clinical contexts, particularly for addiction-related applications.

Its legal status and medical use vary by country, and safety considerations—including cardiac risk—require careful screening and medical oversight.
